Pre-Introduction

The following is a mini-course on Adult Education for Community Workers put together by Ola Pawluk, Lidi Castro, Saroj KC and Loren Scott, all members of the first cohort of the International Master in Adult Education for Social Change academic course. The following posts were put together as an assignment for a Teaching Adult Online course and we wanted to take the information further and make our work accessible to the general public.

Because this is a public sphere, we are unable to provide links to the actual content of books and articles used as study materials in this course due to copyright restrictions. However, we have included hyperlinks to websites where the books can be purchased, or feel free to search for the materials on your own online.

Also, because this was created as a real-life exercise in curriculum design, we have written it as if it were a program that we would facilitate and conduct over a 5 week period. Unfortunately, we can not be indefinitely engaged in this, so we will not be able to assess or engage with the assignments given or the discussions started in this blog environment. The material here is given only for your own food-for-thought and hopefully insight and knowledge gain.

Thank you and please enjoy the materials we have put together for you as a mock mini-course!

-Ola, Lidi, Saroj, and Loren
